A Very Special Free Stuff Friday

A490 Compassion Rose Monogram NecklaceMonday is Memorial Day. While that typically means a day off work, lots of picnics, and the unofficial start to summer, we all know the true purpose of Memorial Day is honoring those US military personnel who have died in service to our nation. So today's Free Stuff Friday is a little different. Today, we're not giving away Lauren's Hope medical ID bracelets. Today, we're giving away three pieces from our new Love & Beloved line of personalized jewelry.

Love & Beloved jewelry isn't medical ID jewelry. It's designer jewelry you can have custom engraved with names, initials, coordinates, dates, special words, a verse of scripture, or any other inscription. As memorial jewelry, Love & Beloved allows you to keep the thought of the one you've lost close to your heart all the time in a subtle way, as many of these pieces are designed to be worn with the inscription against your skin (although they can be worn with the engraving showing if you prefer!).

So today's Free Stuff Friday is pretty simple. You can enter up to three times, leaving the following in our comments:

1. Leave a comment telling us what you would engrave on your Love & Beloved necklace and why.

2. Leave a comment telling us who you want to give a Love & Beloved necklace to and why.

3. Leave a comment telling us which Love & Beloved necklace you like best and why.

It's as simple as that. There are rules. Of course. Aren't there always rules? Boring, we know, but they're here if you want to read them. Other than that, have at it! Good luck!

A484 Kindness Rose Tone Memorial NecklaceWe will announce our THREE WINNERS on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, and you can enter any time between now and midnight on Monday the 26th. Each winner will have the option to choose any one piece from our Love & Beloved line (for him/herself or a loved one!) with custom engraving and free shipping anywhere in the continental US.

The round monogrammed necklace is my favorite. I would want to give it to my very special daughter, Julia, 14, who has had a tough first year of high school. As I try to tell her every day, "I am so proud of you! You rock!" and I would want that to be engraved on the back so she always knows it even when I don't say it.

I love all three of the love and beloved seen above. The first one with initials is lovely. If I had a choice of what to engrave I would say "live a happy life" The only way to live life.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:07 AM by Natalie Branch
I like all three. I would choose the round monogram. I would engrave on the back Live, Laugh Love and give a gift to myself as a T1 Diabetic.

This is truly a very special free stuff give away.
My first thoughts went to my best friend whom I consider my sister. She had lost her husband on Christmas morning 2012. I cannot imagine anyone waking up to what she had. At 50 years of age, he was by far, too young to suffer a massive heart attack but it just shows us how short life truly is.
If I could hug her every single day, I would. I know she misses him dearly, I can see it in the sadness in her eyes. She truly is a gift.
"He whispers in the wind" is what I would have engraved on her necklace, so that she realizes that he has never really left her and that if she listens, she can still hear him.
Patience Rose Tone Remembrance Necklace ~ would be my pick for her because it not only sits next to her heart, which is where her husband is, but the scrolling on the front of it is absolutely beautiful, just like she is.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:23 AM by Cheryl Schleicher
I would engrave the initials "HIT," in memory of Harris, soulmate and best friend." Harris was my father. I would give the necklace to my mother for her birthday in June. I really like the round necklace design, very pretty.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:26 AM by Jennifer Semrad
I would love to be able to give #2 to my daughter. She is Cortisol dependent. I do love all three though but my daughter loves God and her church.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:37 AM by Penny
I would chose the Compassion Remembrance necklace in honor of my pets. I would have the Jester Kids engraved and give it to myself!
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:45 AM by Cindy
love the round monogrmmed necklace, would make a great 16th bday gift!
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:49 AM by jane montpetit
Love and peace to all our military THANK YOU.
I would like the bracelet because I can't wear a necklace due to neck issues after my Thyroid Cancer.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:52 AM by Dorothy Henry
I love the third one. My daughter-in-law at age 43 went to a community college while working and graduated cum laude this year. She is a beautiful, loving woman and I know would love that necklace. I would choose the rose gold color and engrave it with Alice & Keith.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 8:53 AM by Sally Oldham
I love the monogram necklace. I would love to give this to my granddaughter for graduation gift. Thanks
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 9:02 AM by Chris R
I like number 2. I am a Christian and love the design of this necklace. I would engrave it with the beginning of one of my favorite verses: "Trust in The Lord with all your heart."
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 10:07 AM by Jan Chu
I'd give the Compassion Remembrance Necklace to my daughter. It would be a classic piece I know she'd enjoy for many years to come.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 10:33 AM by Tamrah T
It's hard to decide on a favorite style. Each one has it's own personality As much as I do like the Compassion Remembrance Necklace, I love the simple statement the Hope Remembrance Necklace brings. It reminds me where my strength is grounded, in Faith. Thank you for always providing a fresh selection and generosity in your giveaways.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 10:44 AM by Tamrah T
I would engrave my husbands initials. My husband is in the special operations with the US Army. He can deploy at any given second with no notice to me. Having his initials around my neck would make me feel close to him if he were to deploy with out a goodbye ❤️
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 11:19 AM by Kylie Hilberg
I would select the monogram one to give to my dd. While she loves her medical ID necklace, she also loves to wear jewelry that has nothing to do with her disease and just let her be girly. Thanks for the opportunity!
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 12:51 PM by Jenna
I would have my kids name engraved.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 12:59 PM by Molly Angle
I like the one that says "Love" on it.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 1:00 PM by Molly Angle
I would probably give mine to a close friend or mom.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 1:01 PM by Molly Angle
I love the round monogrammed necklace. I would give it to my daughter who will be starting middle school in the fall. Hard to believe my baby will be a 7th grader.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 1:41 PM by stacy s
I would have my sister's name engraved on the necklace. She was stillborn so I never had a chance to meet her, but my family loves her as if we had spent a hundred years together. :)
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 3:20 PM by Sarah Nelson
I would give a necklace to my mom with my sister's name on it, because it has been very hard on my mom to have lost her baby girl. My sister lives in her heart, but I like to have visible reminders of her so that other people do not forget about her. I know my mom would love and cherish this.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 3:22 PM by Sarah Nelson
My favorite is definitely the necklace with the word "love" on it. When we have love, we have everything!
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 3:23 PM by Sarah Nelson
I wish I had seen them for Mothers Day, I would have given one to my daughter. She is a wonderful mother, wife and daughter. I would choose the one with the cross with engraved with live, love ,laugh.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 3:50 PM by Quilla Mayo
1. I'd engrave ''Hope, Strength, Faith'... as those are three powerful words I want to try and live by from here on out. 2. I'd love to gift a necklace to my good friend, Susan, who now is a proud supporter of LH and would appreciate the true sentiment behind this line. 3. I'm in love with the SS Compassion Remeberance Necklace because monograms are classic and never go outta style! :)
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 5:13 PM by Shelley B.
I think the necklace with the cross is very stylish and yet simple.
I would like to give the necklace to my daughter in law who is a military wife.
My son is in the Marines and is often deployed leaving her in charge of a home and four children.
The life of a Marine wife is never easy but she is very dedicated to her family and handles it with patience.
The price we pay for freedom is high and it is not just the military men and women who suffer, but also their families.
My daughter in law manages to work full time as a nurse and still attends the children's activities and care for their home.
I believe her on-going faith is best represented by the cross on the necklace.
Posted @ Friday, May 23, 2014 10:04 PM by Pam Huff
I would engrave "Family". It does not always mean the people you are related to by blood. Family can also be a group of friends or co-workers. I work with a great group of people who always band together when someone needs assistance. When one of our teachers was at the hospital while her only child had brain surgery at 21 years old, we did what we could to help including a collection of cash for gas and whatever other expenses they had. We have helped pay towards funerals, collected clothes and baby items for an "emergency foster placement" and countless other things. We are "family".

I LOVE all of them and would be honored to have any. No matter the design, as long as my loved one is close to my heart ❤️
Posted @ Saturday, May 24, 2014 10:57 PM by Kylie Hilberg
I would honor my daughter in law with the necklace " The Places You Will Go " with the inscription "Always in your Heart".
She is the wife of my Marine son, who has been deployed again.
She is a strong woman who is able to manage a home, full time nursing career, and four busy children.
It would be nice for her to have a reminder that no matter what place her husband is, he is always in her heart.
There are so many sacrifices military families make each day and I think we should honor them with special surprises to help make their life easier.

As others have said, they are beautiful and I would love to give any one of them as a gift. But I think I would choose the monogram, for my niece. I would have her initials engraved - ACM - her birthday is in June. Thank you Lauren's Hope!

There are so many I could choose to gift with one of these inspirational necklaces. The friend whose husband is undergoing cancer treatment, the friend whose daughter is "stable" in her treatment, the ninth grader who has been my library aide for 2 years and is amazing, the woman whose daughter is unable to receive any more treatments for brain cancer, the friend who lost 3 friends this week to various diseases. It would be very hard to choose but probably the friend who just retired so she could be with her husband during treatment.
Posted @ Sunday, May 25, 2014 6:45 PM by Luana Weaver
I am a 2 cancer survivor, breast and pancreatic, and each day is another day to give blessings to the Lord for my strength.
I spent 35 years teaching high school and from the students I gained that each day
is another chance to be with the ones we love most.
The hope necklace gives me a reminder of the journey is behind me and the road ahead is bright.
I would engrave the back of the necklace with "Hope, Faith, and Love" to remind me of the values that are an important part of every day..
Posted @ Sunday, May 25, 2014 11:11 PM by Pam Huff
What a wonderful giveaway. I would love the round Love and Beloved necklace because as I looked at it , it was funny my initials were already on it, AMC ,and on the back I would engrave my husband and my two boys' name on it. They are all so beautiful.
Posted @ Monday, May 26, 2014 9:21 AM by Anne Marie Cote
I would engrave, "Have faith," because this has been a difficult year and the only thing that gets me through is reminding myself to have faith
Posted @ Monday, May 26, 2014 3:09 PM by Krysten H
I would give a love and beloved necklace to a friend who just lost her dad unexpectedly as a way to remind her of him
Posted @ Monday, May 26, 2014 3:12 PM by Krysten H
The TRUTH ROSE TONE REMEMBRANCE NECKLACE is my favorite because it's so simple and elegant and I love the rose gold
