It's FREE STUFF FRIDAY!

It’s Friday. Yes, already. We checked. And what’s our favorite thing to do on Fridays? Give away free stuff! Yes! It’s time for another fabulous round of the ever-popular...FREE STUFF FRIDAY! Today, we’re giving away a FREE $50 Lauren's Hope gift certificate

Free Stuff Friday

Today, Free Stuff Friday is Pin-Tastic! Head on over to Pinterest and simply follow, comment, and tag! Here’s how it works:

1. Make sure you’re following us by choosing, “Follow All” on our Pinterest page.

2. Free Stuff Friday is one of our favorite acts of kindness, so choose our Acts of Kindness board and select your favorite act of kindness among the pins. Next, comment on it, and then “repin” that pin. Please include #laurenshope in the description and tag us by using @laurenshope as well. Don't have Pinterest? Leave a comment here sharing one of your favorite ways to pay it forward!

3. Check back Monday! We will post the name of our winner here and on our Facebook wall. If you win*, you have three days to email tara@laurenshope.com and claim your prize.

*Winners are selected at random. No purchase necessary. Employees of Lauren’s Hope and their family members are not eligible to win, no, not even the lawyer cousin you don't talk about at Thanksgiving. We try to keep things fair by limiting Free Stuff Friday to one winner per household per six-month period. It’s an honor system, folks. Let’s give everyone a chance to win! If you want to read all the boring fine print, seriously consider whether you have a lint trap to clean out first, because that's more fun. Still want it? Here ya go. Thanks!

We Have A Winner

And the winner of this week's Free Stuff Friday and a $50 Lauren's Hope gift certificate is ... Debbie Stouffer! Congrats, Debbie! You have three days to claim your gift certificate by emailing us at tara@laurenshope.com. Happy Monday!

I took care of a young man with a severe seizure disorder and cognitive impairment for five years. I considered him a member of my family. After he passed away, his mom, sisters, & myself decided to display random acts of kindness on what would have been his 25th birthday. My husband and I went to a restaurant where I often took him. It was a nicer restaurant, but the staff was always patient and kind with Kevin. That evening, we tipped our server for the evening with a 50% tip. We left a note explaining that it would have been Kevin's 25th birthday & asked him to pay the act of kindness forward in Kevin's memory.

My family and I are all about community service... from planting indigenous trees along the riverbank, to volunteering at the local shelter, to volunteering at the living history museum, anything we can do to enrich our community enriches us all!

I don't have a pinterest.

My husband and I volunteer at the local animal shelter. We Pick the early morning hours, when the shelter hasa hard time getting volunteers. During that time we get to work with the animals who are not yet available for adoption due to behavioral issues that typically steem from having had an abusive owner. They are amazing animals and it is very rewarding to work with them.

My daughters and I volunteer to cook meals for the Homeless Shelter in our community. We plan, shop, cook, and deliver the meals. The girls earn money by doing extra chores to buy the food for the meal and the prizes for the Game Night.

The girls host a Children's Game Night with the children at the Shelter. My girls provide prizes for the children who win the games. Everyone wins something.

It is a wonderful way for us to give back to the community!

Blessings to all,
Lisa

I pay it forward by volunteering at my local Children's hospital in the Ronald McDonald Family Room. They provide a place for parents to escape to and take a shower, do laundry, or have a cup of coffee or soda and a snack.

I take charge of a local Boots for Babes campaign providing free tennis shoes to students in two counties in WV. We work with the gym teachers at the school to tad entity kids who need new shoes. They are given the shoes during Dec. along with socks, school supplies, snacks, and a couple small toys. Currently we are raising money hoping to help 200 or more kids in WV. For some of these kids this is their first pair of new shoes or the only pair of shoes they will have until next year. It is a great program.

My daughter and I pay it forward every year by cleaning out all the toys and clothes that she has outgrown to give to charity every year before Christmas.

I pay it forward to helping on a FB page for military wives moving to my area and helping them get situated when they get here and helping them prepare before they arrive. People helped me during each of my moves to a new place, so I want to help others with the big transition of moving and having to start over in a new place.

I wear Laurens Hope medical alert braclet because I take blood thinners. My Grandson spent 3 months in Children's hospital when he was born. They gave him a small blanket to take home with him when he left the hospital. I now donate blankets for other sick children.
