I have been wearing some sort of medical ID for most of my life; it hung around my neck. I discovered four years ago after having surgery that I was and still am allergic to adhesives as well as the allergies I knew about. I purchased a bracelet ID which had tiny silver beads with bees on them since one of my allergies is to honeybees. Now all my allergies are listed on the tag and I hope to never go through the healing process I went through after surgery from the bleeding blister from the adhesive tape that held the bandage in place. There are alternatives to using adhesive tapes to cover and hold bandages in place, such as mesh bandage tubing.

I have a son who has autism, CP and Epilepsy. Being non verbal the medical bracelet (style 2---Cowboy Up) not only would give me piece of mind in a emergency situation but would allow the emergency personnel immediate knowledge that he could not provide.

Posted @ Thursday, April 12, 2012 1:34 PM by Judy Munson
Hello, To join the fun of Free Stuff Friday, I have subscribed to Laurens Hope Blog and would love to wear item #1. I have been a pharmacist for 20 years and a Type 1.5 diabetic (LADA) on an insulin pump for 9 years. I first purchased a LH medical id bracelet prior to a vacation 5 years ago and was excited to finally find a medical id bracelet that I would actually wear everyday. It is attractive, affordable, and comfortable. I even sleep with my bracelet on. The best part of wearing the bracelet is providing a way to educate patients with diabetes. As a pharmacist, I participate in diabetes education and am always looking for ways to connect with patients. Receiving the compliment, "I like your bracelet", is a great way to get the conversation and education going. After seeing my bracelet, the Certified Diabetes Educator who I work with and who also has diabetes started wearing a LH medical I'd bracelet. We provide the LH brochures to our patients and others we meet who are interested in a medical id bracelet. Thank you for providing such an important and great product!

Thank you for the Free stuff Fridays and I just love the Angel in the Clouds bracelet.
Posted @ Thursday, April 12, 2012 1:58 PM by Kathy
I wear one of several ID bracelets to work everyday. Many of the patients I care for are newly diagnosed with diabetes and heart disease. The bracelet is a starting point, the patients ask why I wear it and when I tell them I am diabetic too, they tend to listen more closely to the presentations on survival skills and caring for themselves with diabetes. Diabetes doesn't have to control your life-you learn to adapt and control the diabetes. I am a Diabetes Resource Nurse at my hospital and teach patients, family members, other nurses and even doctors about diabetes and the resources available for diabetics and their care givers. The more I learn and teach, the better I can care for myself and my patients. Thank you for your caring and giving all of us a voice to share our situations.

Hi. I have subscribed to the Blog and the email offers both. I also voted to rank Lauren's Hope as the best Medical ID supplier in the recent internet poll. I suffered a heart attack in Dec of 2011 and for the first time became aware of the necessity of wearing a Medical ID bracelet. I bought one for myself and one for my husband who is a diabetic (why did I not know previously that he should have had a bracelet years ago?!) The thought didn't cheer me up because the bracelets I knew were so ugly/utilitarian; that is, until I found Lauren's Hope. Now I cheerfully wear my bracelet every day because its good looks add to every outfit. I would love to win I9 the Isle of Capri bracelet. Thank you for making a wonderful lemon merinque pie from some sour lemons.

I have subscribed to the blog site and the website. I love your braclets and would love to have one. I have soooo many allergies I don't think they will all fit on the braclet. What do you do in this sort of case ?

Do you list some and then leave a number of someone to get the rest of the information from?

Hi, Jenna,

Sarah would love to have bracelet number 1 with all the multicolors. She would tell me that it looks like a rainbow. Sarah is 9 yrs. old now and very into fashion for young girls. This bracelet will be at the top of her list.

Thank you for all you do.

I have joined others in hearing Lauren's Hope news (Email), posted on Facebook, follow the blog, and liked on Pinterest.

I would love bracelet #2, I am not a girlie girl. Also I have a 12 year old son that has ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. I had Gastric Bypass 5 years ago for health reasons and almost did not make it. Having that procedure made my hypoglycemia worse. I never know when my sugar is going to crash or what will set it off. My crashes are so bad that I have passed out. My husband called an ambulance once night and totally forgot about the hypoglycemia. There has been a few times now that my son and I are home alone and I have hit the floor in front of him. He does not know everything about my health. One day I even passed out at work and they had no idea that I am hypoglycemic. Bracelet 2 could save my life if I pass out in public or when my son and I are home alone. Thank you

I like #2 for my son. He and I are type 1 diabetics and he has a dog tag that I got through Lauren's hope but is looking worn (he never takes it off). It would be nice for him to have something new!

#3 pretty prink heart necklace is so cute! My daughter would love the change from the bracelet she has been wearing for 5 years for her tree nut allergy. Lauren's hope is always coming up with great ways to get kids to wear medical id accessories!!
Posted @ Friday, April 13, 2012 7:45 AM by kathy
I'd love to win #1 for my daughter. She has epilepsy and before we found this website she wanted wearing her medical alert -- but these are fun accessories -- thanks Lauren's Hope!!!!
Posted @ Friday, April 13, 2012 8:11 AM by Keren
I already receive the emails and am a Facebook subscriber, I would love to win #3 because the medical tags are more "my thing". I spent six years in the Army wearing dog tags and started wearing them again with my new medical ID tag from Lauren's Hope (my military tags have other medical information on them, so they're complimentary). This would be a nice way to change things up and, since I have pink hair, I've grown to like the color pink (used to be a rebel) - this is so cute!

I subcribe to your blog, get your emails, and like you on FB. I found your site back in January, and have since ordered 3 bracelets and one for my husband. I've also put your catalogs in our office waiting room, told people at church, and my sister is spreading the word as well. I'd like either #1 for me or #2 for my husband.

I follow you on fb and receive your emails already. My daughter has been wearing your bracelets and id tags since she was 18 months old. She is now 8 and delights at seeing the new products. Lauren's Hope has made having to wear a medical id a fashion joy for my little girl. She would love to be entered to win item 1.

I had no idea such a fashionable option existed and had never quite gotten around to ordering my medic alert product. Then I went into anaphylactic shock and ended up passed out in a restaurant. Needless to say, it was time to do something about that bracelet! That's when I found Lauren's hope. I now follow you on twitter, like you on facebook, get your emails, subscribe to your blog and just today started following you on Pinterest. As others have said, you really are lifesavers. Thank you so much for all you do!!

Would love #1 for myself. I wear one of Lauren's Hope bracelets everyday and I have 11 to pick from. I love each one that I have and love the new one I just purchased just a few weeks ago La Festa - I make my fashion statement with my bracelets! People check out my wrist to see what I am wearing everytime they see me - even my doctors!! I wear my id due to having a pacemaker and I can tell you I was not wanting to have to wear a ugly id so when my sister gave me my first id bracelet from Lauren's Hope I was the happiest girl in the world!! Thank you for making the "BEST" Medical ID Bracelets in the WORLD because I can tell you I would not wear one if it was UGLY.

I just found your website and think it is awesome. I have a daughter who was just diagnosed with epilepsy and while we are still trying to learn as much as we can, the first thing my husband and I are thinking is medical ID braclettes. WE were so excited to find your site and something that is pretty for our 6 year old. I have another daughter who has major food allergies and your allergy jelly like bracletes are awesome. After her follow up appt on Monday (where I am sure we will find more allergies) we will be getting one for her too!

The first bracelet that I purchased is the rhinestone feather in gold in January. Little did I know that I was going to need the information so soon. I passed out at work March 21, 2012 and it was a 911 call. The EMT was able to radio the hospital and told the hospital about my conditions and allergies. I didn't have to give them the information other than my medical plan #s. Now I tell everyone about you. Thanks Lauren's Hope!

I would like Item 2.
Posted @ Friday, April 13, 2012 9:57 AM by Sandy Byrd
I have been a customer of Laurens Hope for 10+ years. My daughter loves the selection of the bracelets and still wears the one that I bought 8 years ago. Now my youngest is in need of a medical ID band :( he had a pacemaker install 10 days ago and his career dreams that he has wanted since he was 5 years old have been through away. He is starting college and would love to win the #2 selection.

Hi! I would love number 1 for my type 1 diabetic 11 year old daughter who was diagnosed last September. She currently does not wear any identification since I can't afford something she likes. I worry about something happening when I am not with her so winning would be a God send. I'm also a Type 1 and have enjoyed your bracelets for several years. I subscribe to the blog and like you on FB.

I am a HUGE fan-been with facebook/blog/email updates for awhile. My son has bi-lateral cochlear implants, and every id tag we have tried he doesn't feel comfortable with. His big brother recently started wearing a necklace-simular to the one we would love to have (VSP2-soccer ball necklace), and Cale seems to have an interest in wanting one himself. Cale is 5, and will be attending cochlear camp this summer. To have something he could wear-to identify his condition-would be helpful with his time away. Thank you for making such beautiful products!

I would really love to win a "design your own" ID bracelet. I am a Type 1 insulin dependant diabetic, on the insulin pump. I am the lead singer of my band, Wyldefire,www.wyldefireband.com , and I struggle with my blood sugars crashing during shows. I am so afraid that something will happen (I pass out) and the people around me/paramedics etc, won't be aware I am diabetic. I would really enjoy designing my own, because I could make one that would match what I usually wear on stage. I am 42 yr old single mom, of 2 teenage boys...I can't currently afford a bracelet, but I frequent your website and love your bracelets and selections. It would be a blessing and bring peace of mind to me and to my boys, to know that I had a medical ID bracelet in case of emergencies.

My grandmother is almost 80 years old and suffered a heart attack a few years back. She also has Diabetes and has trouble seeing anymore. I would like the #1 bracelet for her because she does not like the ones you can buy from the pharmacy because she thinks they're ugly and has admired my bracelet from Lauren's Hope since I purchased it a few months back.
Posted @ Friday, April 13, 2012 12:36 PM by Nicki
Our daughter has owned Lauren's Hope bracelets since her T1D diagnosis almost two years ago. She has outgrown some already and she (and I) are loyal to your company. It's a great product and your people are always so friendly! She would just be "gaga" to win #1 GAGA! LOL

I was going to say I would like to win #1 but after reading some comments I feel that I would rather have it go to one of the young girls. I ordered 2 bracelets with ID tag for my mother's birthday in Feb. We had been looking for nice pretty ones. She loves to show them off to everyone and even keeps the catalog sent with the order with her so she can tell others where to get them. Thank you for your wonderful products.

I thought I entered yesterday, but do not see the post. Sorry if I missed it. I follow your blog, Facebook, Twitter, and receie LHNews, I often admire your pamphlets at my endocrinologists office where I am treated for type one diabetes. I love all your designs, I picture myself more wearing #1 or #2.. I have a generic med ID bracelet. It is kinda outdated and I only wear if I am going to be away from home for a longer than normal period. I know I should wear always, It is just so ...ugly.. Thank for all you do, one day hopefully I will either purchase, or get a loved one to help out....:)

I signed up for the e-mail news so I can stay on top of new Lauren's Hope bracelets that I might want to order, and to also gain any helpful information related to wearing medical id jewelry.

I have a very rare genetic degenerative disease with other serious complex medical issues that require me to always wear a medical id bracelet. I really like option number 1 the most out of the selection of bracelets. It is such a beautiful bracelet that is fun, stylish, yet function able. It looks like it can be worn with so many things, because of the versatility of the different colors and shapes of the beads.

I really love the bright colors. I am constantly in the hospital, and despite me continually being very ill bracelet number one seems to brighten everything up. I would really like the chance to wear something so bright, because it seems like it would brighten my hospital room and put a big smile on my face.

I subscribed to the Lauren's Hope blog.
I would like to please be entered into the contest for item number 1.
I have to wear a medical id bracelet all the time due to very serious health problems. I like to wear casual clothes that reflect my personality, fun and positive despite my health going down. I am in the hospital a lot and even though I feel bad I like to wear my fun street clothes. I have always wanted a fun "positive" bracelet that reflects who I am. I love bracelet number 1 because I think it "looks" just like me.

i love the look of laurens hope bracelets. i was recently diagnosed with diabetes and i have had congestive heart failure for 2 years. i live alone, so being able to carry the alerts with me in an easy to find format is important. i also like the "sparkly side" of the bracelets because i am all about the sparkly and shiny!! really trying to get a handle on this.. io ordered the tag and carry it in my wallet until i can get a bracelet.

I am a FB Fan, follow you on twitter, follow this blog, and I receive emails from Lauren's Hope.
I would be very grateful if I could receive #2 as I have several medication allergies and have Multiple Sclerosis. Thank you.
